The Prose of Mycock is the latest instalment in Dr Andy Mycock’s irreverent, and unapologetically playful performance series following his sell-out comedy shows I am Mycock and the Joy of Mycock. This new show dives into the recurrence and remarkable flexibility of “the cock” across English literature – from medieval metaphor to modern innuendo.
Readers include actor Arthur Bostrum (an expert on double entendres), actor and book expert Neil Pearson and writer and singer Rosie Garland. With wit, warmth, and a scholar’s eye for mischief, The Prose of Mycock invites the audience to reconsider the literary canon one phallic syllable at a time.
